Presentation of the Letters of Credence of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the President of Montenegro
Both Sides Welcomed Development of Bilateral Ties
On Thursday, 30 July 2026, Mr. Mohammad Sadegh Fazli, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran accredited to Montenegro, officially commenced his mission by presenting his Letters of Credence to H.E. Mr. Jakov Milatović, President of Montenegro. During the ceremony, Ambassador Fazli conveyed the warm greetings of H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and reaffirmed Iran's commitment to expanding and strengthening its friendly relations with Montenegro. He also extended his best wishes for the continued prosperity, progress, and well-being of the Government and people of Montenegro. Referring to the considerable potential for enhancing bilateral cooperation, Ambassador Fazli underscored the importance of strengthening ties in the political, economic, commercial, and cultural fields. He reaffirmed the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to broaden mutually beneficial cooperation based on mutual respect, shared interests, and constructive dialogue. The Ambassador further emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran remains committed to developing and deepening its relations with all interested countries on the basis of mutual respect, non-interference in the internal affairs of states, and the pursuit of common interests. The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Belgrade is concurrently accredited to Montenegro and is responsible for representing the Islamic Republic of Iran in that country.
